Hello Fabricio. Thank you so much for sending us these pictures. Looks like a really carefully picked selection of music. When did it all start? “I am a DJ and record collector since 1989.”
Can you tell us a little bit more about your DJ life?
“I’m a 38 years old, Brazilian DJ livig in London. I got residencies in 4 places (Cafe 1001, Guanabara, Coco Bamboo, Made in Brasil + sporadic gigs) and got my own night called Boom Brew at Cafe 1001 in Brick Lane (East London). Its always myself plus some special guest playing strictly records – 12″ and 45’s.”
Can you tell us some artists you already worked with? “I supported few Brazilian Artists in London such as: Sergio Mendes, Criolo, Emicida, Marcelo D2, O Rappa, Racionais, Maria Rita, Max de Castro, Jair Oliveira, Vanessa da Mata, Simoninha, Ceu, Tulipa Ruiz, Clube do Balanco, Mulatu Astatke and many more.”
When did you start to collect records? “In Brazil 1990. In London 2007.”
What’s your most collected genre?
“Most Brazilian Music (Bossa Nova, Samba Jazz, Samba de Raiz and Rare Grooves). Also Jazz, Funk, Soul, Breaks, Rap, Drum and Bass, Dub, Reggae and some Experimental Eletronic stuff. My room is more than Music Department of the house, is my office and my therapy room!”
What’s the size of your record collection? “My new collection in London contains around 2.500 12″ and 1100 45’s”

What are your highlight of the room? “My collection of 45’s Records.”

“Hard to say, but maybe Bitches Brew by Miles Davis.”
